Twice now I have lost the ability to access the internet. When I click on Internet Explorer it goes into MSN just for a moment and then quickly reverts back to the desk top.
The first time I went looking in the start menu and ended up somewhere that gave me the option to turn "enable internet" to yes. I did this and everything was back to normal.
Unfortunately at this time I had no idea where I was. I am an older person and do not have too many computer smarts.
The second time I had to do a system restore twice before it was back to normal.
I do not nomally fool around with the working of my computer so I know I did not do anything to cause this.
Could someone please tell me what causes this? Is there something I can do to make sure it does not happen again?
If it does happen could you please tell me a method of fixing it. I will need point by point directions because as I said I am not very computer wise.
It might be that your anti virus has blocke internet explorer. What AV do you use and I could provide instructions. _________________ MoPo = Master of the Painfully Obvious

I was able to hack 127.0.0.1. My computer has been running like crap ever since.
